Cementitious Coating
This system uses cement to create a solid water-resistant layer. The cement is mixed with an acrylic additive to create a sturdier, durable base, then applied as a thick layer and left to dry and harden.
There are two types of cementitious waterproofing :
a) The first type is a two part polymer modified cementitious waterproof mortar slurry comprising of a liquid polymer and a cement based mix incorporating special admixtures. It doesn’t expand or contract under heat exposure. This system is usually applied in household internals, waterproofing your bathroom before the tiles are laid, rigid waterproofing of water tanks, etc.
b) The 2nd type is a cementitious, two-part polymer-modified flexible waterproofing. Its semi-flexible characteristic suitable to used in different type of application include water tanks, basements, swimming pools, RC gutters, bathroom floors and walls, planter boxes, wet rooms for example kitchens, waste water treatment plants, shower and laundries.
